Q: Is your place nice and clean? What is the decor like?
- A: The house is
painted with soft neutral colors, decorated with a touch of European style.
It is important to us that our home is kept clean, especially to our
guests. The shared bathroom is
cleaned daily and the kitchen is always kept spotless.
Q: What is check-in and check-out time?
- A: We are very
flexible with your check-in time. check-out time is 11 am., or to be
arranged with the host. You may drop off your luggage before check-in time,
or you may keep your luggage with us after check-out time, until you come
back for it later.
Q: Can we arrive very late at night?
- A: Yes, you can arrive
late if we are so advised at the time of booking, or an arrangement can be
made. Otherwise, it would be very considerate of you to give us a call if
you are behind your schedule.
Q: Is there a curfew?
- A: No, there is no
curfew at any time.
Q: Do you always have people in your house on duty?
- A: Most of the time
there is someone in the home. I
may have to run out here and there during the day, however, between my
husband and I, we will make a point to be here on your arrival and will
always be present during breakfast..
Q: Is your area safe for visitors?
- A: Toronto is
considered a very safe city but like all big cities, caution should be used,
especially late in the night.
Q: What is required to book a reservation?
- A: Rooms can only be
reserved if we have a Visa, MasterCard authorization and deposit at the time
of booking. We will need your card number, the name of the card holder, and
the expiry date. If you do not wish to release your credit card information
over the Internet, you may use the phone or fax to confirm your booking.
Q: Are your rates quoted in Canadian dollars or in U.S. dollars?
- A: All rates are
quoted in Canadian dollars. We prefer that you exchange your money to
Canadian currency before arrival.
Q: Do you offer a discount for for a longer stays?
- A: Yes. We are happy
to offer a discount to our guests for longer stays. Discounts on longer
stays will depend on length of stay, number of people in the party, time of
year, and rooms booked. We are happy to discuss this with you when you make
your enquires.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A:
Unlike hotels, our rooms are often booked months in advance. because of this, a
refund can only be given if notice is received as follows:
For reservations made
within 30 days, at least 10 days prior to the scheduled arrival date.
For reservations made 2
months in advance or more, at least 20 days prior to arrival date.
No refunds or adjustments
will be made after arrival.
Q: What deposit is required?

A:
An amount equal to 20% of the total due for the dates booked, or a minimum of
one night, whichever is the greatest. For Long term reservations or for Multiple
Room reservations, deposits will be non-refundable. On all refunds, a fee
of $10.00 will be retained to cover our costs in processing the deposit.
Q: What do you serve for breakfast?
- A: We serve a
variety of breakfast foods. Everyday
is a different food. We like
making bacon or ham and eggs, to French toast, pancakes, eggs done in any
style preferred and for those healthy or light eaters, we have an abundance
of cereal, oatmeal, grain breads, grains, nuts, fruits and for the European
style, you may choose to have French stick with cheese.
I will always be open to breakfast suggestions.
You will also find a dish of fresh fruits on the breakfast table,
waiting for your arrival. You
will also have the choice of coffee, juice or tea.
With your order ahead of time, you will have the choice of regular,
decaf or brazil coffee’s, a variety of tea’s, herbal’s, green, white
or Chinese tea’s and juices will be a 100%fruit.
Q: When is breakfast served?
- A: Breakfast is served
at 8:30am from Monday to Friday and 9am on Saturday and Sunday’s, however,
special arrangements may be made..
Q: Is there a phone in the room?
- A: No, but
there is a phone in the house. Someone is always there to call you to the
phone or take the message while you are out.
Q: Is there access to a computer and the Internet?
- A: Yes. We can
give you access to both a Computer and the internet for small assignments.
If you have a laptop computer you can access the internet in each room for
high speed internet. Each room also has satellite T.V.
Q: Is there access to an outside area to relax?
- A: Yes. We have
a back deck off our kitchen, where you will be welcome to eat your breakfast
or drink you beverage, or wonder into our garden for more privacy where you
can also relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
